i was dynamical and altogether of the sudden my truck died. my hand truck will turn over but won't start. I'm acquiring none trigger off. could this be because of my ASD relay. if so is there a way to readjust it. I don't induce a manual to my truck but it prob tells you in there. thank you

yeah, that happened to Pine Tree State....later looking at around a bit i noticed the handbuild wire felled seam off of the coil....

Chris - look below the underhood fusebox.
Unwrap the tape on the harness about 6 to 10 inches
find a splice of 3 wires--redo it if political party or
otherwise doesn't look good..

There is an ASD relay under the hood in the PDC.
Take you checked to picture if you are getting fuel?
the splice mentioned is a common problem.

I give a 1994 dakota 3.9. I launch the tercet wires mentioned above and clean them up. Engine won't start. Have no more voltage to coil operating theatre distributer. Computer shows vehicle not responding. Installed rebuilt PCM, still nary response. Checked automobile shut consume relay and some other relays and fuses. Relays are not responding when key is turned on.
Ignition switch has proper voltage. Can some service me?

I take over a 97 dodge dakota 4x4 and it will not start. I have chequered the barrage, the distributor, and made sure information technology was gettin fuel and everything is fine. Also went and had the coil tested and that is good also. Does anyone have whatever suggestions? Thanx

1998 Dakota 4X4 Intermittant Shut Bolt down Information science: Logged

I experience a 1998 Dodge Dakota that intermittantly shuts down after running awhile with no ignition spark. The Auto Fold Electrical relay (ASDR)has been replaced and it has been to checked for codes just there does not seem to be any reported.
Information technology was noticed that when running properly the ASDR is fairly warm. Is this modal ? After a cool dispirited full stop the truck testament normally start with no problem. Any ideas ?

If the ASD relay is good it could be the Cycle per second(crank position sensor). They are known to produce these symptoms.
Swap the ASD relay with another(they are basically all the same) and learn if the problem corrects itself.

Thank for the recommendations. The fashionable is that I've transformed out the Crankshaft Postition Sensor and that did not right-minded the problem. I was told by unmatchable mechanic that mayhap the new CPS was bad too ???
The auto Close down Relay has been substituted several times.
I am not sure what ECU stands for but will be checking into that.
Thanks for the suggestions.
The Ignition Coil has been replaced.
The symptoms remain the same.

I'm having all the one problems I've changed Crank position detector,coil,cap, rotor,ign module and 2 relay race. I throne hear the fuel pump undercoat but I don't seem to receive light. Iv'e opened up the harness merely cant find the #115 splicing talked near. The truck is a 98 3.9 v6

I experience a 97 Dakota Sport 4x4: Feature no problems starting when cold and the truck runs great later starting, but when it gets to average in operation temporary and I turn off the truck and try to restart, IT cranks but doesn't start. I am look all of these posts and getting started going through separately. Moral now the cam position sensor has been replaced. If that doesn't do information technology I was exit to move along to the ASD relay. Has anyone had whatsoever lot with anything else?

for the survive cardinal weeks i've had nobelium luck getting my hand truck to start, it showed the (NO Motorcoach code) i got a new rebuilt calculator, it started, but now it habit reposition the trans. and runs high what doh i do now?
